Who We Are
Nomád Nemzedék is an artistic and cultural organisation rooted in Hungary’s intellectual and artistic traditions. We produce films, stage performances, music projects and publications, organise cultural events, and develop initiatives that create connections between past and present, different art forms, artists and communities.
One of the defining intellectual sources of our work is the oeuvre and thought of Sándor Csoóri.
Cultural diplomacy is also an integral part of our activities. We present Hungarian cultural values internationally while seeking opportunities for dialogue and cooperation with other cultures. Through international partnerships, we connect artists, institutions and countries, creating meaningful encounters through culture.
What We Do
Film, theatre, music, literature and folk art are at the heart of our work. We develop artistic productions from concept to completion, including documentaries, portrait films, music films and music videos, as well as theatrical and multidisciplinary performances, concerts and cultural events.
We connect folk art and traditional culture with contemporary artistic forms, creating space for living traditions to be passed on and reinterpreted.
Our work also includes publishing and cultural content development. A particular focus is the preservation and promotion of the oeuvre and intellectual legacy of Sándor Csoóri through publications and new literary and artistic works inspired by his thought and spirit.
We initiate, organise and manage cultural projects in Hungary and internationally, coordinating their professional and production-related implementation. Through cultural diplomacy, we build and maintain collaborations between institutions, artists and countries.

The Intellectual Legacy of Sándor Csoóri
Preserving the poetic, essayistic and public intellectual legacy of Sándor Csoóri is one of the defining areas of our work. Our aim is to ensure that his intellectual legacy is not merely preserved, but remains a living and inspiring part of Hungarian culture for future generations.

Cultural diplomacy is at the heart of our international activities, with a strong focus on building long-term partnerships. We promote Hungarian artistic and cultural values internationally while connecting artists, institutions and cultural communities across borders.
The Carpathian Basin and Central Europe, particularly the cultural sphere of the Visegrad countries, form a natural and important part of our international cooperation. We also place particular emphasis on the Turkic world and the cultural regions along the historic Silk Road, extending through Central Asia to China.
Through our work, we build long-term partnerships based on shared cultural values, mutual dialogue and the creation of new artistic collaborations.
